Toronto Arts Foundation seeks a part-time Online Learning Coordinator

Toronto Arts Foundation is hiring a part-time Online Learning Coordinator to work with the Neighbourhood Arts Network (the Network).

Neighbourhood Arts Network is a Toronto-wide network of over 1,600 members, including artists, arts organizations, arts workers and community agencies working throughout the City of Toronto.  The network focuses on community-engaged arts, which fosters relationships between artists and residents.

What does the Network do?

Activities of the Network include networking and professional development events, the interactive website with member profiles including the BMO Learning Room, promotional materials, advocacy, shared resources, research, awards, and on-going partnerships with social service agencies, city departments, libraries and more. Members receive monthly e-newsletters with links to job opportunities, blog posts, events, and member profiles. The Network creates tools for advocacy and promotion including printed directories and videos profiling member's projects.

The Online Learning Coordinator will have the following responsibilities:

  • Develop web content, create and upload to new Kentico web platform
  • Co-develop content for a new series of online video toolkits focused on anti-oppression and equity in the community engaged arts sector in conjunction with Neighbourhood Arts Network and Sketch staff.
  • Document all Courage Lab & Community Arts Jam events via written and possible graphic note taking, photography and audio recording.
  • Support Neighbourhood Arts Network Manager in posting synopsis, content and images online following each event.
  • Conduct evaluations and compile key findings, community requests, feedback and insights captured during events.
  • Conduct interviews with event attendees, presenters and Neighbourhood Arts Network members.
  • Support Neighbourhood Arts Network Outreach & Events Coordinator with event prep, coordination and reporting. 
  • Develop social media campaigns.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years relevant employment experience with direct experience and knowledge of Toronto’s community engaged arts sector. They will possess superior writing, online and organizational skills; an ability to handle a multitude of tasks and deadlines; and a talent for working collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. They will have experience conducting research, evaluation, and data management. Demonstrated commitment to Neighbourhood Arts Network values and direct experience working in community engaged arts practice and/or neighbourhood development are essential. Knowledge of Toronto’s community arts organizations and individuals and familiarity with trends in the field is essential. Previous experience in creating educational toolkits, lesson plans and engaging community through social media are also an asset.
