Call for Submissions: Events for Mad Pride Toronto 2012

Tuesday, July 10 to Sunday, July 15 Mad Pride is an arts, culture, and heritage festival created by psychiatric survivors, consumers, mad people, folks the world has labelled “mentally ill”, and those in solidarity with us.

Artwork raising money for wetland conservation

Each year, hundreds of artists submit their paintings to DUC to be considered for Ducks Unlimited Canada’s (DUC) National Art Portfolio (NAP). These paintings are judged and accepted into one of three NAP categories based on specific guidelines. Approximately 10-15 art pieces are chosen annually. These paintings are then made into high quality lithographic prints and used to raise money for DUC.

Sora Priangan is a Toronto community music ensemble playing the percussion instruments of West Java. We meet Sundays at 2 pm to play the music of the gamelan degung of West Java, Indonesia. Membership is free, sponsored by the Evergreen Club Contemporary Gamelan and Arraymusic.
