Volunteers are the backbone of arts organizations across Toronto. Join the Volunteer Network and you’ll receive bi-monthly notices of a variety of volunteer opportunities, from a few hours a month to ongoing commitments. Just contact the organization directly if you’re interested.

Why Should I Get Involved?
Toronto’s arts organizations are fueled by the energy of new interns and volunteers. You gain valuable experience in a wide variety of areas, and become involved in the Toronto arts scene.
There are many ways to become involved, including

  • greeting guests at fundraising events
  • sending letters to arts supporters
  • creating a website for a dance company
  • joining a music group’s Board of Directors
  • contacting media agencies to promote an art gallery opening
  • ushering at a theatre performance

If you want to become part of our growing volunteer network, email Volunteer Coordinator at mail@torontoarts.org. Tell us a bit about your talents and what you’d like to do, and we’ll connect you to hundreds of exciting opportunities!

Internships at the Toronto Arts Foundation
Are you a university student interested in the work of the Foundation? We offer full- and part-time unpaid internships for university and community college students. Interns help in a variety of ways, including research, program coordination and special event planning for our Block-by-Block program, the Mayor’s Arts Awards Lunch, campaigns, symposia, and conferences.
